Definitely sad. That article I linked to on the 5 mass extinctions is really interesting. Basically, most of them (except the asteroid) we caused by volcanoes releasing tons of CO2 and methane into the air. So we're basically doing the same thing, I guess. But if that past events prove anything, life will go on one way or another.

Apparently, we are in the 6th extinction now and have been since the mid-2000s. Sad stuff really.
